11 March 2008 30 Year Anniversary Celebrated by Donations to Charity
On completion of the 30th harvest at the site at Tore on the Black Isle, the directors of Highland Grain decided that the occasion was worthy of celebration. After much discussion on the virtues of all kinds of special events for the benefit of the members, a decision was taken to celebrate by donating a suitable sum of money to a number of different charities. The members of Highland Grain were asked, at member meetings in November 2007, to nominate their five top charities from a list drawn up by the directors and members. An exceptionally high turnout was achieved at these meetings and six charities were eventually nominated to receive funds; these were:
Highland Hospice
Royal Highland Educational Trust
